There is a new keyboard that was just recently announced called Minuum. ( Min-You-Um ) It is a keyboard that is supposedly easier and takes up less space. It is based on the QWERTY keyboard so you don’t have to change the way you type too much. You can adjust the size of the keyboard to fit your screen better to make it easier for you, but honestly, I am fine with the regular QWERTY keyboard that is on my phone right now.
I just don’t see this keyboard being easier because everything looks so close together. How am I supposed to type on that? I will have to try this for myself when it is released. If it is easier than maybe I would consider using it, but, like I said, I am fine with the one I am using now. I don’t really mind the space it takes up on my phone and it is the keyboard we are pretty much all used to, and please don’t think of me as someone who hates change because I love change, I just do not think this will work well.
They say that it works well with sloppy typing, but I have never had an accurate auto correct, so will they be the first to have an auto-correct that people actually like? That would be pretty nice to have an accurate auto correct. I am definitely going to be trying this and I may write another post on my experience with the keyboard.
One thing I really liked about what they introduced is how this could create even more different ways to type, such as tilting your phone. There are more examples on the video below.
I hope that this keyboard is great but I am a little doubtful. They have an Indiegogo campaign that has already reached it’s goal of 10,000 dollars and is now over $50,000. You can still give your money to them and get some perks like getting to try the Minuum keyboard first. You can visit the website to learn even more about the Minuum Keyboard here at minuum.com.
