If your laptops getting too hot and you want to cool it down so it doesn’t annoy you, you have come to the right place. Here are some ways to cool it down.
Clean out the Dust
Dust is a major cause in laptops over-heating. A way to clean out the dust is to purchase a can of compressed air to clean out the vents of your laptop. You should clean out the dust in your computer vents regularly about every 1 – 2 weeks.
Change Power Settings
Go into control panel and change your power settings. Play around with them for a few days and find the power settings that are right for you and your laptop, it should cool your laptop at least a little bit if not a lot.
Turn it off
Turn it off when not using and especially if you are out. You should let your computer rest instead of just letting it sit there running with no use.
Have a fan blowing at the vents of your laptop
Get a cooling fan if you don’t already have one and face it towards the vents of your laptop. This should cool your laptop because of the nice flow of cold-air going through the vents. Also, be sure that your laptop is on a hard and flat surface. It tends to heat up more if it’s on your floor or bed.
Get a Cooling Pad
Cooling pads have vents that increase the air flow which will prevent your laptop from over-heating. Also by getting a cooling pad for your laptop you will feel more comforted to work with it. Cooling pads are usually priced at $20 to $40 dollars.
